In the wake of Knight First Amendment Institute v. Trump, an awareness of the delicate relationship between the First Amendment and society’s digital dimension has been awakened across the political spectrum. With increased focus from the public eye, a catalyzing moment may be all it takes for a radically new standard to form, or it may serve to solidify the history of First Amendment litigation. What protections are owed to users of digital public forums? To which entities, accounts, or platforms does the categorization of digital public forums apply and which are private?
